Quito - 3 Days/2 Nights Day 1 - Arrive Quito Meeting upon arrival, and transfer to your hotel. An afternoon tour of the city, including La Compania Church and the San Francisco Cathedral. Day 2 - Quito The day is at leisure to explore this colonial city on your own, or take an optional tour to an Indian market such as Otavalo. (B) Day 3 - Depart Quito Transfer to airport. We continue to the Riobamba to tour the town and museum. (B) Day 2 - Riobamba/Cuenca Today we take a bus ride to the Alausi rail station where we board the Expreso for a six hour, awe-inspiring ride. This spectacular Andean route ends at El Tambo, where we board the bus for a visit of the ruins at Ingapirca. We reboard the auto ferry and continue to Cuenca. (B/D) Day 3 - Cuenca Full day exploration of Cuenca, a charming colonial city marked by narrow, cobblestone streets and romantic plazas. Our tour visits the historical colonial buildings and fine craft markets. (B/L) Day 4 - Depart Cuenca Today is yours to spend at leisure exploring Cuenca on your own before transferring to the airport for departure.
